Dumpling Inn

We went to the Dumpling Inn upon recommendations from hubby’s business connections. We were told that the Peking duck is fantastic. As we ended up going for lunch on the weekend, we did not get the Peking duck but went with dim sum items instead.

Chive and shrimp dumplings – good enough to order again.Siu mai – decent version.

Xiao long bao (steamed pork dumplings) – skin was quite thin and good, but soup has been leaking out. Flavor was alright.

Fried donut in rice noodle roll – I didn’t see it come by so I asked if I could order it. Ended up taking a long time and it wasn’t even fresh! The donut was cold and chewy. One of the worse versions I’ve had.

Shanghai noodle – I like the simple ingredients in this dish. Could have used a little more charring.

Soy sauce noodle – again, simple, but good. A little salty though.

Baked egg tart – I don’t eat this. Hubby said it’s not the best.

We really didn’t have too many dim sum items that day. Judging from what we did have, I think the quality is hit and miss. Perhaps the Northern cuisine it is supposed to specialize in is better. If we get a chance, we may come back for dinner and try the Peking duck.
